ABSTRACT | ||
In the profound labyrinthine wilderness of the history of Indian tradition from where the sound of triumphant ovation was once aroused, those Indians are now in a frenzy of attaining their own desires. The society has now been coiled around by the mass-hysteric of illogicalness- and the Indian people are becoming inert and devoid of any inherent wisdom, rather they are besotted with Occidentalism. Accordingly, when the postcolonial Indian society was getting repulsed by the grandiose wave of glassy westernization and was distressed to a great extent too. At that time, by virtue of the peerless genius of Swami Vivekananda, the revival of the National awakening became passible. The people of Indian finally became able to envisage that glorious and immortal image of Indian where once the maxim of self-sacrifice was echoed through. Hence we can assert that Swamiji was indeed a religious leader and at the same time he was a social reformer, thinker, himself the epitome of the Zeitgeist, and also a revolutionary. In the wards of Narayan Gangopadhyay, Swami Vivekananda was the first ever socialist thinker in India. This dissertation in question owes to these words while highlighting the role of Swami Vivekananda as patriotism. Keywords: Thinking of Vivekanda, National Life, Socialism, Patriotism, Young stars, Social structure, Humiliation of humanity. |
